Baby in Stroller Killed in Brooklyn Shooting: Police Search for Suspects

A tragic shooting in Brooklyn has left a 7-month-old baby dead, according to police sources, sparking outrage and renewed concerns over gun violence in the city.

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon around 1:15 p.m. near Moore Street and Humboldt Street in East Williamsburg. Authorities say the infant was in a stroller being pushed by her mother when gunfire erupted. The baby was struck in the head during the shooting.

In a desperate attempt to save her child, the mother reportedly ran into a nearby store after hearing the shots and realized the baby was bleeding. The child’s father then rushed her to Woodhull Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The New York Police Department has launched an active investigation and is searching for two suspects believed to have fled the scene on a scooter. Police described the driver as having dreadlocks and wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, while the passenger was dressed in a dark-colored sweatshirt.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward by contacting Crime Stoppers. Tips can be submitted anonymously and will be kept confidential.
